From Games to Movies - Max Payne

Max Payne is a BAFTA award winning third-person shooter video game developed by the Finnish company Remedy Entertainment, you have played the game and seen the movie?

I just saw the movie, it was cool. The game, as you know, I know, is highly recognized. Who played this? Please share opinions^^

i played the first max Payne game.It was just awesome...
...the dark gangster king of look to the game reminded me of the godfather...
& not to forget that it was one of the first games to have the slow-motion shooting option.

I just loved it.4/5 stars from my side

Picture GTA without cars, but with a kick ass storyline picked out of a "Sin City"-like or another noir-style cartoon. That's about mine impression of the Max Payne games, and as a Frank Miller fan, this could never go the wrong way.

The movie, I'm rather hesitant to see though, as I had a rather bad experience viewing "Hitman"

Max Payne One was amazing. I agree film-noir storyline and a smart shooter game. Max Payne Two was unfortunately not different. Still, what I missed in other games was the way the game structured movement in and out of situations. Sometimes you really had to figure out how to get out of places.

Max Payne was one of my favourite games of the time. Great script, excellent story, incredible characters, and extremely fun gameplay. The movie was a crapfest compared to the game.

I have to admit the max payne series have an awesome storyline. I played Max Payne 1 & 2 and in my opinion, Max Payne 2 offers a much better storyline and ending from the 1st game if the player managed to complete the game in a certain difficulty.

However, in regards to the movie itself. I have to honest that Mark Wahlberg didn't manage to entirely capture the Max Payne character.
